About SWE

From the SWE website:

"The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders. Founded in 1950, SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, outreach and advocacy activities, and much more."

The PSU Chapter of SWE aims to increase the visibility of women engineers at PSU and to provide a great resource for women engineering students in all engineering disciplines of Portland State.

Assistant Professor, ECE. My background is in semiconductor materials and devices. I’m particularly interested in III-V and II-VI compounds, electronic sensors and radiation effects. I have also worked in high-frequency electronics, designing and building a prototype high-speed frequency-hopping phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer for military telemetry applications. My current interest is in mobile sensor networks for battlefield and emergency response environments.
